These pictures were sent by Sue Bartholomaus of the Wildhorses mailing list. Sue has a great clip that will let a horse being worked hard in winter sweat easily, cool far more quickly, yet also allow him to live out in cold weather without a blanket.

The top picture is of a traditional high trace clip. The arrow points to where you would begin Sue's version of a trace clip. The areas of the first picture with diagonal slashes are the parts of the traditional clip that are NOT clipped in Sue's version.
