Kern County, California, 88 Arabian mares, studs and foals. Some were so weak that they had to be euthanized on site. LIFE Foundation assisted in the rescue and care of these neglected horses. |

Equine abuse is next door or around the corner and it will continue unless you take an active interest in stopping it. Unless we have have knowledge and offer the educational opportunities to obtain and share that knowledge, equine abuse and the inability to successfully prosecute cruelty will continue, despite the number of equines we rescue. |

Orphan foals require special care. LIFE received grants from 1985-1989, from PetAg and Manna Pro to develop treatment proticol for the care of orphan foals. These techniques are now being used throughout the United States to care for orphan foals.This orphan BLM foal was successfully raised and adopted to a caring family. |
